African Investigative Journalism Conference
The annual African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC), an initiative of the Wits Centre for Journalism (WCJ), is the largest gathering of African investigative journalists on the continent. The conference is usually held over three days late in the year (October/November), where journalists from Africa and elsewhere gather at Wits University to network, share ideas and stories, celebrate excellent, groundbreaking work, and learn from one another through a series of lectures, workshops, masterclasses and seminars.
The 21st conference will take place at Wits University in Johannesburg from Wednesday, November 5 to Friday, November 7, 2025.
Enter the African Investigative Journalist of the Year Award by Jul 15 for the chance to win cash and a trip to the AIJC conference.
