Freelance environmental journalists face growing risks in the field and often without a proper safety net. As Climate Week NYC kicks off, come together with fellow journalists to talk about what safety looks like for climate reporters in the US today, share experiences and learn about resources that can help keep you protected in the field.

This gathering is a space to shine a light on the realities of freelance climate journalism. Hear from CPJ about their Climate Initiative and safety resources, and join a panel moderated by freelance climate journalist and SEJ member Jordan Gass-Pooré drawing on real journalist experiences in the field.
