DEADLINE: EJN Business and Climate Media Initiative Seed Grants for Media Outlets in Thailand and Indonesia

Event Date:
November 10, 2025

The Asia region accounts for over half of global greenhouse gas emissions, largely credited to its role as a global supply chain hub, growing population and rapid industrialization over recent decades. Businesses and the private sector are major contributors to the climate crisis, and so must be at the heart of climate action in order to bring about meaningful impact.

It is also important that the transition to net zero is just, fair and equitable for the workers involved, a process that also makes companies more resilient for the long term.

Media coverage of business engagement with the climate crisis—and the action needed by governments and multilateral development banks to facilitate this—must ramp up to improve accountability, highlight solutions and inform public demand for change.

With this in mind, Internews' Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering seed grants of up to 8,000 EUR for media outlets in Thailand and Indonesia to launch new and innovative reporting initiatives that will increase awareness of these topics. This round of grants is awarded as part of EJN’s Business and Climate Media Initiative project.

Deadline: November 10, 2025, 11:59 PM (Asia/Jakarta)
